Brendettae J. Payne is the lead counsel in the Law Offices of Brendettae Payne, PLLC.  She works closely with outside counsel to strategize and advise the firm’s clients.

Ms. Payne focuses her legal practice on entertainment, business, and real estate.  She represents major and independent artists, producers, managers, directors, models, and a host of other professionals in the entertainment business.  Ms. Payne also consults small businesses and professionals in the fashion, television, and film industries.

Ms. Payne is on the Council for the Entertainment & Sports Law Section for the Houston Bar Association, a member of the State Bar of Texas and American Bar Association Entertainment & Sports Law Sections, an Independent Hearing Examiner for the Texas Education Agency, Executive Director of the Pool of Hearts Foundation, Talent Manager for Jayce Management Group, and an Adjunct Professor at Houston Community College. Ms. Payne was also the Vice Chair of the State Bar of Texas-Law Practice Management Committee.  Ms. Payne received her Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University in 1999 and her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 2003.  She is admitted to practice in the State of Texas, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Ms. Payne enjoys spending time with her family, teaching children and youth at her church, and volunteering in her community.

De-Angelo L. Peoples is the newest addition to the Law Offices of Brendettae Payne, PLLC intern staff.

Mr. Peoples, who is currently a senior at the University of Houston believes branding and innovation are key elements to a successful company. These key elements along with assisting Ms. Payne with her nonprofit organization will be his main focus.

At the University of Houston, Mr. Peoples, is pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Sports Administration with a minor in Global Business. He plans to attend law school in the fall of 2013 and focus on Sports and Entertainment Law.
